Dynamed Plus Trial

The library is running a Dynamed Plus trial for the next three months, with an aim towards purchasing the resource for the use of all our Athens users.

DynaMed® Plus is a clinical information resource used by physicians to answer clinical questions quickly and easily at the point of care. It includes thousands of topics that provide clinicians and educators with the evidence-based information they need to make informed decisions. Topics are updated daily as new evidence becomes available.

With a closer focus on UK topics and Evidence Based Medicine, along with an improved interface we feel this resource will be of excellent benefit for all clinical staff.

The Dynamed Plus app is freely available with the subscription, and can be downloaded onto Apple and Android mobiles and tablets. It downloads the full version of Dynamed Plus for offline access.

Access is via your Athens account. All registered athens users will be emailed to remind them of access, but if you do not have an account self-register at

Superfast WiFi in Library and COMET

With the support of IT services and Training and Development the Library and COMET centre has a new modern WiFi connection. This connection allows all devices, tablet PCS and mobile phones to connect to an external non-trust network connection similar to a home internet connection. Once connected you will be able to use this connection whenever you are visiting the COMET centre for study or personal use.

The WiFi password will be available on request from any member of the library staff. This WiFi connection is the initial stage of a full modernisation of library services in the COMET library, so follow us on Twitter for regular updates on all our developments.
